Honeywell HPA300 Air Purifier Review in 2021
The HPA 300 air purifier with a pre-filter and HEPA filter works to trap irritants, allergens, and pollutants from the air at a rate of 300 cubic feet per minute. The UV-C light destroys airborne microorganisms such as bacteria and germs in three stages. In its second stage, the UV-C light sanitizes the incoming fresh air. In stage three any remaining particulates in the air are trapped by the HEPA filter. Adding to this purifier’s ability to help special needs families is a sleep timer that can be set for one or eight hours, which allows you to rest

Air purifiers
The Honeywell HPA300 is a HEPA air purifier. It’s also what I have in my bedroom. I have mild allergies, so I wanted to keep the number of airborne particles as low as possible. The HPA300 does that for me.
The main drawback is that there’s no way to turn it off other than unplugging it. If you’re not home, or asleep, it will be running continuously, which can get expensive. Also, I’m pretty sure it emits ozone, which smells bad. And the fan noise isn’t too great either.
But overall I’m very happy with it. It doesn’t make my room uncomfortably cold, and the air does seem cleaner. For allergies or asthma, though, I imagine you’d want something stronger — maybe even one of those hospital-grade air cleaners.
The Honeywell HPA300 air purifier is an excellent way to help remove dust, pollen, pet dander, mold spores, smoke, germs, and other airborne particles from your home. The unit can be used in small rooms or large rooms up to 300 square feet. It also features a digital display that lets you track the number of particles in the air over time.
The Honeywell HPA300 removes up to 99% of airborne particles as small as 0.3 microns. That’s one-third the diameter of a strand of silk!
This air purifier uses two separate filters to capture both large and small particles. The first filter captures larger particles, such as dust and pet dander. Then the second filter captures smaller ones, including pollen, mold spores, and germs.
It features three filters that are easy to clean and replace:
Honeywell HPA300 Review: An In-depth Review
Air purifiers are not something I would typically review here on the site, but I know a lot of people suffer from allergies and other breathing issues. And there is a certain segment of the population who may want to make a change in their lives to do something better for their health. When it comes to air purifiers on the market today, many of them will make claims that they can rid your air of 99% of all pollutants. That is outright false, as no air purifier can come close to cleansing your room of all allergens.
The closest you can get is a HEPA filtration system that will capture at least 99.97% of airborne particles down to 0.3 microns in size. But this particular Honeywell model only claims to capture particles down to 0.3 microns in size at 90% efficiency, which may even be overstated if you read the fine print. The Honeywell HPA300 only has a carbon filter and a HEPA filter – no UV or ozone – so it is not capable of killing mold spores, bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens that can be present in your home’s environment.
I have been testing the Honeywell HPA300 Air Purifier for a little over a month now and I am pleased to report that it works as advertised. The air quality inside my home has improved and I feel better and healthier as a result.
When I first received the unit, I set it up immediately. It was very simple to put together and it took me about five minutes to assemble. It’s compact and doesn’t take up much space on the floor which is nice because I have two small kids and space is at a premium. It is lightweight but sturdy.
